Smart Data Frameworks is an off the shelf open source solution for migrating between database platforms.
SDF is a flatpack application, using container technology. It contains a number of pre-installed software components. It comes in 2 parts – an open source UI and the ETL framework, which is a commercial overlay.
In this video I will take you on a guided tour of the Release Manager, and the First Run Wizard.
The Release Manager allows you to package up and maintain releases, making enhancements easy to deploy with version control.
It has built-in DIFF functionality which is is useful for for code review in teams using Github.
The first run wizard is default screen the first time you run the GUI and remains so until you’ve completed the wizard. It talks you through where SDF stores its metadata, what considerations you need to understand before you set up your environment.
